Curator of the event Akeem Chandler-Prescod said that a show like this was necessary as we celebrate men’s mental health throughout the month of June.

This show will allow the public to hear the raw and unfiltered realities of what being a man in Barbados means from various perspectives, as we have young poets like Atiba and Malachi and then more experienced poets like Damani Re and DJ Simmons, who all will share their perspectives on what being a man means, and the societal pressures of being a man that are usually unspoken about outside of the rum shops and barber shops,” he said. The show promises to be an immersive experience with poets, rappers and spoken word artiste all coming together to celebrate Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and the admission is $20 BDS which can be paid at the door.
