Police Make Breakthrough in Bowen’s Road Mass Shooting Case

Jamaica – Authorities have made a significant breakthrough in last year’s mass shooting on Bowen’s Road, off Waltham Park Road, in the St. Andrew South Police Division, where eight individuals were shot.

Nineteen-year-old Ryan Lynch, also known as “Bad Foul” of Crescent Road, Kingston 13, has been posthumously charged with three counts of murder and five counts of wounding with intent using a firearm. He was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Lynch was shot and killed by gunmen in Green Valley District, St. Thomas, on December 13 last year. The Bowen’s Road attack, which resulted in three fatalities and five injuries, is believed to have stemmed from an ongoing feud between rival gangs operating within the St. Andrew South Police Division.

Investigators continue their efforts to bring other individuals involved in the attack to justice, emphasizing the importance of dismantling gang-related violence in the area.
