Police Seek Suspects in Silver Sands Shooting Incident

The Barbados Police Service is actively searching for two men involved in a robbery attempt that left a landscaper with a gunshot wound in Silver Sands, Christ Church, on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. while the victim, a landscaper from St. Michael, was working at a property in Round Rock. Two masked men approached him, one of whom was armed with a firearm. Upon noticing the approaching suspects, the victim attempted to defend himself by retrieving a cutlass from his vehicle. However, one of the assailants fired a shot, hitting the landscaper in his right thigh.

The attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting. The injured man was promptly transported to the hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries.

Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspects to come forward.
