Infinity on the Beach Celebrates its 10th anniversary

L-R – Kenny Hutson, Husband and Business Partner shares a hug with his wife and General Manager of Infinity on the Beach, Renèe Coppin as they celebrate the hotel’s 10th anniversary with an intimate event under the theme ‘Life’s A Beach.

Infinity on the Beach celebrated its 10th anniversary under the theme Life’s a Beach with an intimate celebration at its St. Lawrence Gap, Christ Church hotel on February 25th, 2024.

The 66-room boutique hotel which was officially opened in 2014, is owned and operated under a lease by Renée Coppin and her husband and business partner Kenny Hutson.

Reflecting on the past decade, Coppin said the journey has been memorable

“It has been a really rewarding journey from when we first started the business until the present date starting a business as a small operator was challenging but I can say it has been a rewarding journey. One of the things that is the most gratifying to me is that having done this it now paves the way for other persons like me who may be looking to do something like this to recognise that it is possible,” she said whilst smiling.

The intimate event which started at 9 p.m. catered to 70 specially invited guests including present and past staff who enjoyed the anniversary celebrations as they spent the night dancing and sharing fond memories of their time spent at Infinity on the Beach.

General Manager of Infinity on the Beach, Renée Coppin in her brief remarks thanked members of staff who were integral in the establishment of Infinity on the Beach 10 years ago.

“I would like to take a few minutes to express my profound gratitude to the many people who have made this journey possible. First to my amazing team past and present. This milestone would not have been possible without the team we have here. The team at Infinity on the Beach is precious to me as I am supported by a group of people who are authentic, caring, supportive and loving and always have my back at every turn. So, the only thing left for me to say is thank you” she said.

Coppin had some words of advice for any young person seeking to get into the hospitality industry which were to not be daunted by the naysayers and to find creative ways to navigate the hotel industry as a small business owner.

“I run two hotels and both I have done with leasing. I started Pirate’s Inn my other business as a lease to own and I now own that property. With Infinity on the Beach, I leased the building, but the business is mine. So, I think there are always innovative ways, but you must be willing to take a risk”, she said.
