Fans of dancehall icon Vybz Kartel will have to wait a little longer to see him perform live in Trinidad. The highly anticipated One Caribbean Music Festival, originally set for February 28, 2025, has been postponed to May 2025.

According to a statement released on February 8, festival organizers cited “unforeseen logistical challenges” as the primary reason for the postponement. The original venue, Queen’s Park Oval, is facing a packed schedule during Carnival week, making it difficult to execute the event at the high standards expected.

Additionally, alternative venues such as Hasely Crawford Stadium are unavailable for the Carnival 2025 season. Rather than compromising the quality of the event, organizers decided to push the festival to May, ensuring a vibrant and immersive experience for attendees.

Good news for ticket holders—any tickets already purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled date. As a token of appreciation for fans’ patience and support, organizers are also offering exclusive perks, including: a chance to win VIP upgrades, access to limited-edition festival merchandise, an opportunity to meet and greet Vybz Kartel

For those unable to attend in May, refunds can be requested at the original point of purchase.

The event promoters have expressed sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused, particularly to international guests who had already made travel arrangements. However, they remain confident that the rescheduled festival will be an even bigger and better experience.

Despite the concert delay, Vybz Kartel remains in the spotlight. On February 2, he attended the Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where he was nominated for Best Reggae Album for Party With Me.

With the One Caribbean Music Festival now set for May 2025, fans can look forward to an unforgettable experience featuring Vybz Kartel and other top-tier Caribbean artists.
