BAJAN STAR MALONEY BREAKS THROUGH IN BERLIN, LEADS FORMULA E RACE

Berlin, Germany — Barbados’ own Zane Maloney made a major statement on the world stage, leading a Formula E race for the first time during the Berlin E-Prix 2026 at the iconic Tempelhof Airport Circuit.

The young Bajan, representing Lola Yamaha ABT Formula E Team, showed real class and composure at the front of the field, going wheel-to-wheel with some of the biggest names in international motorsport and proving he belongs at this level.

Maloney’s weekend also included a breakthrough in qualifying, reaching the Duels stage for the first time — another clear sign that his confidence and pace in Formula E are building rapidly.

While he ultimately finished outside the points, with mid-field results across the two races, the raw performance told a different story. From leading laps to mixing it with the front runners, Berlin marked a turning point in his Formula E journey.

For Barbados, this is a moment to take note. Maloney is not just competing — he is now showing he can lead at the highest level of electric racing.

And if Berlin is anything to go by, that first big result may be just around the corner.
