Woman arrested for encouraging looters live on social media

A Philadelphian woman has been arrested by the police on accusations of actively promoting looting through a live social media broadcast on Tuesday night. Dayjia Blackwell, aged 21, is reported to have utilised her social media platform to incite individuals to participate in looting at various locations and is further alleged to have engaged in unlawful activities herself, as per statements from the Philadelphia district attorney’s office.

She faces a series of charges, including Burglary, Conspiracy, Criminal Trespass, Riot, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Use of Communication Facility, Receipt of Stolen Property, and Disorderly Conduct.

Following her arrest, Blackwell has since posted bail and is scheduled to appear in court again next month.
