Rudy Giuliani surrenders at Fulton County jail

Rudy Giuliani has reached an agreement with prosecutors in the Fulton County election subversion case, which involves charges related to his actions following the 2020 US presidential election.

The former mayor of New York City has consented to a bond arrangement worth $150,000. This bond agreement, established on Wednesday through negotiations between Giuliani’s legal team and the office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, includes specific conditions that parallel those imposed on his co-defendants. These conditions encompass refraining from discussing the case with fellow defendants and witnesses except through legal representation.

The indictment issued last week outlined 13 charges against Giuliani. These charges encompass a range of offenses, including violating the state’s racketeering statute, participating in various criminal conspiracies, and attempting to coerce a public officer in the state to disregard their oath.

Giuliani was involved in supporting former President Donald Trump’s endeavors to challenge the election results in Georgia. He played a role in promoting baseless conspiracy theories and disseminating false information about widespread election fraud during a hearing before state legislators.

Furthermore, Giuliani was an advocate of the fraudulent elector scheme and spoke at the notable rally held by Trump before the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol. At this rally, he endorsed the idea of then-Vice President Mike Pence using his authority in the Electoral College certification process to invalidate Joe Biden’s victory.
