Wendy Williams’ Health Declines: Guardian Seeks Privacy Amid Legal Battles

New York – Wendy Williams’ health continues to deteriorate, according to a recent court filing by her legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey. The former talk show host, 60, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia in May 2023 and is now considered “permanently incapacitated.”

Morrissey’s legal team is seeking to protect Williams’ privacy by redacting sensitive information from court documents. The guardian’s intervention follows Wells Fargo’s 2022 decision to initiate guardianship proceedings due to concerns about Williams’ welfare and finances.

The release of the Lifetime documentary “Where is Wendy Williams?” in February sparked controversy, with critics accusing the filmmakers of exploiting Williams’ declining health. The documentary depicted the star’s struggles with addiction, emotional instability, and physical decline.

Williams’ legal team has filed a lawsuit against Lifetime and the production companies involved in the documentary, seeking damages for alleged exploitation and invasion of privacy.

As Williams’ condition worsens, her legal battles continue, raising questions about the ethics of public scrutiny of a person’s private health struggles.
