In close formation typical of Caterham racing, 2025 Roadsports Champion Will Harris leads Craig Evans and Scott Helme
Four front-runners from the 2025 Caterham Roadsports Championship in the UK, led by this year’s Champion Will Harris, will renew their rivalry in a few weeks’ time more than 4,000 miles from home at Bushy Park Barbados. Their race cars are among 23 set to ship from Portsmouth on Sunday (November 9) for the trans-Atlantic voyage to the second Caribbean Caterham Cup (CCC25).

Harris, his brother Charlie, Craig Evans and Scott Helme won nine rounds of the 14-race championship between them, achieving a further 17 podium finishes, as they battled for the title in a seven-month campaign from April to October at six of Britain’s top circuits, plus one overseas trip to Zandvoort, home of the Dutch Grand Prix.
With four wins, including a double at Thruxton, widely-regarded as the fastest and most challenging circuit in the UK, Helme finished second at year-end just seven points behind Harris. While he won only twice, Harris was ‘Mr Consistent’, nine more visits to the podium at six of the seven race weekends earning him the title.
Evans finished fourth, having won just once, at Anglesey, where he was joined on the podium by Will Harris and Helme, while ninth-placed Charlie Harris won twice, including sharing the wins in Holland with his brother. Brian Thornton, who is not entered for CCC25, was the highest points-scorer, but he was the only driver in the top six to score in every round, with the two drop-scores rule leaving him third.
All four step up to the 11-strong Caterham Seven 270R category for CCC25, where Will Harris will share a car with his father Steve and brother Charlie with another Roadsports graduate Chris Buck. They will find strong competition, led by seasoned front-runners Nick Highton, Henry Speeks and Harrison Cavers, who finished third, fourth and sixth in the 270R Championship in the UK this year, and 2024 Caterham Academy Champion Paul Oggelsby, who won in 270R at Thruxton in May.
Organised by Bushy Park Motorsports Inc (BPMSI) along with a team of senior officials from Caterham Motorsport, CCC25 is set for December 5/6 and will complete Bushy Park’s 2025 season; there will be racing in daylight and under the all-arena lighting on both days.
In addition to the 270R class, there are eight Roadsport cars on the provisional entry list of 26, along with seven in the 310R category, including a number based in the island. With some discussions still under way, there are currently 35 drivers entered, as some cars will be shared over the weekend.
