U.S. conservative commentator Candace Owens has been denied entry to New Zealand due to a previous ban in another country. This follows a similar decision by Australia, where Owens was barred for denying Nazi medical experiments on Jews during the Holocaust.

Owens was scheduled to speak in both countries in early 2024. Despite the bans, tickets for her events remain on sale, and the promoter’s website has not acknowledged the issue.

Known for her controversial views, Owens has faced criticism for promoting conspiracy theories, antisemitism, and opposition to movements like Black Lives Matter, feminism, and vaccination. She has also made controversial statements about the Holocaust and U.S. support for Israel.

Australian Immigration Minister Tony Burke stated that Owens’ presence could incite discord, citing her remarks on the Holocaust and Muslims. New Zealand officials, while not explicitly referencing her political views, denied her a work permit due to her previous exclusion from another country.
