The National Conservation Commission (NCC) is inviting the public to celebrate Arbor Day with a fun and educational scavenger hunt and family lime!
Know Your Trees: A Scavenger Hunt Adventure
This year’s theme, “Know Your Trees,” comes to life with a unique scavenger hunt. Teams will embark on a mapped course starting at 2:30 pm on September 22nd, venturing to various locations around the island to identify trees and collect special items.
The hunt promises a blend of learning and physical activity, with prizes awarded for top finishers, most creative team name, best-dressed group, and youngest participant. Registration closes on September 15th, so gather your team and sign up online!
Family Fun Day for All Ages
The festivities extend beyond the scavenger hunt with a family lime kicking off at 2:00 pm. Enjoy health checks, financial advice sessions, line dancing, fitness classes, a dedicated kid’s zone, karaoke, and music by DJ Gerald B. Food, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase.
Celebrate Trees All Day Long
In addition to the main events, September 22nd offers a plant sale and swap, a plant propagation workshop, and a plant tissue culture workshop.
Mark your calendars! Join the NCC at their headquarters on Codrington Road, St. Michael for a day dedicated to trees, family, and community.
