Two individuals die in early morning accident.

Two out of the four individuals aboard a vehicle have tragically lost their lives due to injuries sustained in an early morning accident along Highway 7, near Hastings in Christ Church.

According to law enforcement officials, the vehicle, traveling eastbound, collided with a wall adjacent to the Soco Hotel before striking a utility pole around 3:30 a.m.

At the scene, a female passenger was declared deceased by a medical professional, while a male passenger, transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), succumbed to his injuries.

The driver, a male, and another female passenger were both conveyed to QEH via ambulance, reporting back and shoulder injuries. An Emergency Medical Technician assessed these injuries as not life-threatening.

Motorists heading southbound on Highway 7 had to detour at Hart’s Gap and Dayrells Road near Bubba’s Sports Bar.

Investigations are currently being conducted by the Hastings/Worthing Station police. Anyone with information or who witnessed the accident is urged to contact 430-7614/15.
