THERESE. BUSINESS celebrates their 10th anniversary.

Therese Fergusson, proprietor of THERESE.BUSINESS, located in The Garden, St. James is celebrating the boutique firm’s 10th anniversary on the 24 th April 2024.

The company specializes in Arts Management, Brand Development, and Production Management.

Therese, who possesses an Associate Degree in Applied Arts from The Barbados Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Management from The University of Phoenix, always knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur, having grown up in a family that ran a thriving business.

She transitioned into entrepreneurship after becoming a mother and wanting to participate in her daughter’s life. Thus, she founded THERESE.BUSINESS , which shifted from Corporate HR and Administrative Support to focusing primarily on Arts Administration and Brand Development.

The founder cites producing the Web Series #tailored with then client Ministry of Style Cre8tive Alliance as one of the business’s highlights.

Following the success of the eight-episode series, two of the episodes were featured in the Caribbean Tales Film Festival in 2021. Therese finds rebranding fulfilling as it not only benefits her business but also enhances her clients’ vision and helps them achieve their business objectives.

Managing her business during the last two years was challenging, given the pandemic, volcanic ash, and a period of unwellness, but she persevered. She learned from the experience and developed contingencies to protect herself and her business should a similar situation ever occur again. They used that time to reposition the business, spearheaded by lead Brand Consultant Marlon Malone.z

Fergusson believes that a small business is an extension of the owner, and in order to see positive change in one’s business, one must be willing to pursue personal growth. She expresses gratitude to all the clients and affiliates who supported THERESE.BUSINESS over the past decade. She thanks them for allowing the company to add structure and direction to their respective businesses and assisting her in creating an ecosystem in the arts and entertainment industry.
